VERBA

Verba is a language app that runs on your device. There is no account, no sign-in and no advertising, and we do not sell or share personal information.

WHAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE

Your progress — the journeys you have taken, the phrases you have met and how well you know them, your settings and your saved tickets — is stored on your device and, if you have iCloud backup turned on, in your own iCloud backup. We cannot read it.

SPEAKING AND LISTENING

When you talk to the app, speech is turned into text on your device using Apple's speech recognition. Audio is not recorded, kept or uploaded by us. To say a phrase back to you, the app may send the text of that phrase — and nothing else about you — to a text-to-speech service so it can be spoken aloud.

WHAT LEAVES YOUR DEVICE

• The weather shown in the station is fetched for a fixed location in Florence. Your own location is never requested or used.
• Apple may collect crash and performance data if you have agreed to share it with developers. It reaches us aggregated and anonymous.

CHILDREN

Anyone can use Verba, children included. Because the app keeps no account and collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children either.

DELETING YOUR DATA

Deleting the app deletes everything it stored on your device. If you have a backup, removing the app from that backup removes it there too.

CHANGES

If this policy changes, the date above changes with it, and a material change will be announced in the app.
